What is Prenatal Yoga?

Prenatal Yoga is a form of yoga which takes into account the changing needs of a woman’s body while she is pregnant.  Yoga during pregnancy assists and strengthens the muscles and joints as they change with the influx of pregnancy hormones. Muscles and joints become more flexible during pregnancy but also more prone to injury.

Benefits of Yoga During Pregnancy

Prenatal yoga keeps the core strong, assists you to maintain correct posture and can help relieve some of those pregnancy aches and pains. Many experts in Yoga agree prenatal yoga is the best exercise for expectant mothers as it also helps promote and develop good breathing habits, which can help immensely during childbirth.
