Yin Yoga Master Class with Joe Barnett
Yin yoga specifically targets the connective tissue of the body & is the perfect complement to more vigorous styles of yoga. Restorative poses are held for 3-5 minutes each safely lengthen & reshape the connective tissues of the body.
In this master class we’ll hold gentle forward folds, supported backbends, and therapeutic poses just long enough to unlock your deep stress patterns and encourage dramatic relaxation, helping your body relax deeply and fully: promoting more restful sleep, improved respiration, & the release of deep tension. The master class will ends with a short guided meditation & a long relaxation pose. Beginner’s welcome. 3 hours
Flying Dragon (Yang Yoga) with Joe Barnett
The quiet, long held, deep tissue work of Yin Yoga is only half of the equation in a fuller Taoist Yoga practice. Yang Yoga is its complement of continuous movement to bring strong blood and chi movement into the Yogis muscles and meridians.
In this session we will explore the Flying Dragon sequence: Big circular movements, graceful twists, bends, and colorful, creative imagery and visualization. Prepare to grow some wings in this fiery flow.
We learned this sequence in last year's Yin Teacher Training with Joe and we LOVED it! Please join us for a good old YANG time yogis!
Aerial Yoga Master Class with Kerry Tice - SPACE IS LIMITED!!
Are you curious to try Aerial Yoga for the first time or want to establish a solid foundation in this unique practice? This workshop is designed to give you a clear foundation of Aerial Vinyasa Yoga while having lots of fun! Aerial Yoga combines traditional yoga principles (linking breath, movement and high intention) with elements of acrobatics and aerial dance. It is a method that helps students gain kinesthetic awareness and build cardiovascular and muscular strength in a safe and supportive environment.
You'll learn to fly, hold and balance in challenging yoga poses. You will gain a new perspective on how you can increase your flexibility, joint mobility, balance, and be upside down for way longer than you ever imagined, achieving physical and mental decompression. We will begin with a yin inspired Flying Yoga sequence that will open your heart as you with breathe into long juicy holds. Students will have an opportunity to strike fun aerial yoga poses and work through awesome sequences during the workshop. We will lead into the a Flying Yoga series during the middle of the workshop. The workshop will end with a deep aerial relaxation.
