NEW CLASS ADDED FOR THE 30 DAY YOGA CHALLENGE - Restorative Yoga Mondays at 6p with MyLinda Morales.
Restorative yoga is a gentle practice that allows your body and mind to rest and recharge. Unlike more active forms of yoga that focus on strengthening and stretching, restorative yoga emphasizes rest and relaxation. Gentle poses held for extended periods of time encourage the body to let go of tension and find balance and harmony.
Restorative is NOT like Yin Yoga. While both Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga are slow-paced and stress-relieving practices, they are very different. Yin is all about stretching and applying gentle stress to certain tissues. Restorative Yoga is all about gently supporting your body, allowing it to relax and heal.
What to bring? Your comfort is the key to Restorative Yoga. Please bring your yoga mat, a bolster, 2 blankets, and you may want to bring a flat pillow too. If you tend to become cool when resting, bring a blanket to cover your body as well. Wear comfortable non-binding clothing; socks and an eye pillow are helpful. If you don’t have any or all of these props come to class and we’ll improvise.

Yoga + Myofascial Release with Orly Wednesdays at 12p.
We have another great class to introduce to our yoga community for the yoga challenge - Flow + Myofascial Release.
Flow + Myofascial Release class offers you the best of both worlds . This class offers 30 minutes of a flowing yoga practice. The last 25 minutes focuses on myofascial release with props - blocks, straps, tennis balls.
Myofascial release allows us to hydrate the connective tissue, promote blood flow, and break into stiff connective tissue .
This class will leave you energized and fully relaxed .
*Blocks and straps are highly recommended. Please bring them if you have them.

NEW CLASS ADDED FOR THE 30 DAY YOGA CHALLENGE - Yoga Nidra Wednesday at 6p with MyLinda @yogamylinda
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice where participants lie on their back and are led through a series of awareness points, breathing exercises and visualizations.
Yoga Nidra encourages deep relaxation of the body leading to a release of physical, emotional and mental stress.
Deep relaxation, like meditation, when practiced regularly not only relieves stress and anxiety, but also has been shown to improve mood.
Deep relaxation has many other potential benefits as well—it can decrease blood pressure, relieve pain, and improve immune and cardiovascular systems.
What to bring… comfort is paramount when practicing Yoga Nidra please bring your yoga mat, if you have difficulty lying on your back for an extended period of time a bolster or blanket to place behind the knees is helpful, you may want to bring a flat pillow or blanket to prop your head. if you tend to become cool when still, bring a blanket to cover up. Wear comfortable non-binding clothing; socks and an eye pillow may be helpful.
Many students find using yoga props (blankets, bolsters and neck pillow) assists and deepens their ability to relax. If you have yoga props please bring them to class with you.
